The Veronicas set to begin Third Album [Breakin News]

Electro pop/rockers The Veronicas are one of the few acts that have managed to break into the US market, with their single "Untouched" reaching the top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100. Now the twin sisters have began planning their third studio album, whilst still promoting their sophomore effort "Hook Me Up" which is now finally taking off in the UK.

"We're coming up to writing a third record" revealed Jess "We've become a lot more opinionated and grown up a lot more in the past two years since we made the last record."

"I know right now we're listening to quite different music right now, so maybe we'll come together and bring both our different influences. I feel like for the next record we'll do a lot of different stuff and see what works."

"We're hoping to sit down by the end of the year and start writing and recording."

The rest of the year will see The Veronica's touring the world, including the UK & Japan where they are just now launching their 2007 sophomore album "Hook Me Up", which was certified double platinum in their home country of Australia.

Album Release Date, Tour Starting August 24th


The Veronicas posted a video update on their YouTube channel, with twin sisters Lisa and Jess Origliasso playing it cool during a conversation until they dropped news they were going on tour with the Jonas Brothers, then teenybopper screaming ensued. Then Lisa followed up with another clip offering some more details on the tour, which is kicking off August 24th at First Midwest Bank Ampitheater in Tinley Park, Illinois. In addition, their new album 'Hook Me Up' gets a U.S. release on August 26th. (thanks to musicistheheartofoursourl.blogspot.com for the video information)

The Veronicas es un duo compuesto por dos hermanas gemelas provenientes de Australia que mezclan el genero pop, rock e indie para hacer de su musica una amalgama de ritmos pegajosos y copiosos. Los nombres de estas dos gemelas con gran talento y carisma son Lisa Marie y Jessica Louise Origliasso,quienes son de ascendencia siciliana. Crecieron en Albany Creek, suburbio localizado al noroeste de Brisbane, Australia.

A temprana edad mostraron interés por la música y la actuación, participaron con pequeños papeles en shows locales de televisión; más tarde comienzan a tocar música y se dan a conocer como "Lisa and Jessica". Después cambian el nombre de su grupo a "Teal".
